Shaka mixer simply put is a ready to drink alcoholic cocktail in a can that comes in 3 flavours which are the Mojito (alc 5.9%), Gin strawberry (alc 5.9%) & the Energy Vodka (alc 18%).  The refreshing mixers are intended to be consumed directly, taking as shots or mixed with fruit juices according to the company. The packaging is convenient, single-serve cans intended for outdoor and on-the-go occasions.

 

“We are very excited to introduce Shaka mixer to consumers,” said Weetsa Adinku, marketing manager for WAGCOL. “We are continuing to see that consumers enjoy drinking flavored liqueurs as a way to discover new taste sensations that elevate their social experiences and fuel their fun. To drive awareness of shaka mixer, the brand will implement digital media, public relations activations and the brand’s popular social-media platforms (@Shaka_Mixer on Instagram) to reach and influence its already engaged fan base. Additionally, point-of-sale materials along with in-store sampling in key markets will drive trial and awareness of Shaka mixer among new consumers at select retail outlets throughout the country.

Throwback: Cody’s Vody Launch in Accra with YFM.

West Africa and Gulf Company limited (WAGCOL) in collaboration with YFM, Ghana’s number one radio station brought Purple Pub to a standstill last night with its October bash dubbed ‘Rocktober’. Rocktober is a music packed activation meant to thrill audience on ground and on air with a master playlist from YFM’s coolest disc jockeys, hosted by Nockus with his silky baritone voice to die for. With speakers blazing a whopping eleven thousand (11,000) decibels of sound power, patrons who gathered at the ‘Purple Pub’ for the ‘Friday Nite Mix Train’ defied the rain to dance their hearts out.Nockus and Kojo Manuel who were the emcees of the night kept patrons engaged from start till the end of the show.

The invigorating night at Purple’s Pub could not have been complete without the presence of the new energy drink in town, the Cody’s Vody Vodka Energy Drink. The Vody Vodka Energy Mix which was sampled at the Friday Nite Mix Train is a German Product made with delicious Vodka from Germany. Marketing Manager of West Africa and Gulf Company (WAGCOL), who are the importers and distributors of this product, Weesta Adinku, expressed how pleased she was for her company to have supported the bashing event that took place at Purple Pub. “I can feel the energy from all sides; the music, the people and Vody Vodka Energy Mix. We from WAGCOL are very excited to be part of YFM’s Friday Nite Mix Train. It is a great initiative YFM has embarked on. After all, people need some sort of stress release after a long week”, she said.

It was a night of fun and music at Purple Pub Friday night at the YFM Rocktober with WAGCOL  as patrons at the Purple Pub could not hide their joy. I live at Awoshie which is far from Osu, but when I heard that YFM & WAGCOL were coming to purple pub, I could not miss it for anything”.

Donation of 7,200 units of Don Simon products to Ghana Police Service towards the fight of COVID-19.

West Africa and Gulf Company Limited (WAGCOL) a major distributor of Don Simon products in collaboration with J.Garcia Carrion S.A of Spain, the producers of Don Simon products donated 7,200 unit of fruits juice and other assorted food items to the Ghana Police Service at its Police Headquarters on Wednesday 8th April, 2020. This donation was to augment police efforts in combating the spread of Covid-19. Further arrangements are being made to donate personal protective (PPE) also to some health facilities.

 Alex Oman, Director of WAGCOL said, “We are proud to partner with relevant authorities to help fight against COVID-19 and support our communities which continue to support us. It is our duty to support the effort of the Police service who are also at the fore front of the fight against the virus. ”

WAGCOL GIVES AWARD TO BEST SPANISH STUDENT OF THE UNVERSITY OF GHANA

West Africa and Gulf Company Limited (Wagcol), a Spanish company whom are major importers and distributors in Ghana have instituted an award to encourage the speaking of Spanish within the Ghanaian community. This award known as the Santa Isabel Award is in partnership with the University of Ghana, Department of Modern Languages. They have instituted an award for the best Spanish student in the department during the Hispanic week. This is the 2nd year of the award and it was won by Miss Suzzette Adzo Attopley. The award was given by the president of West Africa and gulf company, Fernando Jorro. The President of Wagcol said the company was delighted to support more student in learning Spanish.  Present was a director of the board, Isabel Jorro , commercial director Manuel Gil, and a member of the Spanish High Commission Maria Perez de Arminan.  The Award will run for 5 years to encourage more students to pick up the learning of Spanish.

WAGCOL gives award to best Spanish student of University of Ghana

West Africa and Gulf Company Limited (WAGCOL), a Spanish company who are major importers and distributors in Ghana have instituted an award to encourage the speaking of Spanish within the Ghanaian community.

This award known as the Santa Isabel Award is in partnership with the University of Ghana modern languages.  The award has been instituted for the best Spanish student in the department.

This is the 3nd year of the Santa Isabel award for the best graduating student was won by Gilberta Nana Akua Tano-Menka student of the department.

The award was given by the Director of West Africa and Gulf Company, Mr. Miguel Sanchez, with the presences of the 2nd head of the Spanish Embassy in Accra, Mr. Rafael Rodríguez-Ponga Albalá.

This Award will run for 5 years to encourage more students to develop the passion in speaking Spanish as a second language.
